New Foods and New Experiences

Brooks and I have been trying to eat healthier and make sure we get in a good workout. So far we have done great! I am feeling proud that for the past 4 weeks I have been able to really stick to our plan. I usually start out doing well, but then somewhere along the road things fall out of place. This time around Brooks is wanting to eat healthier and wants to exercise. This has been what has kept me going and to be honest it has been addicting! We are trying new foods some we love others we hate (baked eggplant Parmesan sandwiches. Yuck!) However, the journey has been fun so far. We are both seeing results and that is so encouraging. While I am not counting WW Points, I am choosing healthier options and better portions. I love our treadmill and we both love P90X. Maddox is seeing us exercise and eating better and tells us "when I am as big as Daddy, I can get on the treadmill". I know how important it is that he learn the importance of keeping our bodies healthy and strong and love it when he joins in.
For those of you who visit our family blog, you can see from our picture that my tummy is a bit pudgy well I am proud to say that my tummy is no more. I have lost over 10 lbs and I am so happy with the results! I look forward to trying new recipes and making additions of my own. I am hoping to make California Rolls soon and if they are any good, I'll post the recipe along with a picture!

10 pounds! Wow! Not that you really needed to lose any weight anyway, but congratulations! Keep your recipes coming--except for the baked eggplant sandwiches! I love you so much!
