Macaroni Grill Rosemary Bread

For our 8th anniversary Brooks and I went to the Macaroni Grill. I had forgotten just how much I love that restaurant and when they brought our bread I was in heaven! After searching for a recipe to imitate their bread I came across this one. It isn't the same exactly, but you won't be sorry. My family devoured this bread and Maddox said he really liked it. You may dip in olive oil and balsamic vinegar if desired.

Makes 2 loaves

1 Tbs yeast
1 Tbs sugar
1 C. warm water
2 1/2 C flour (may need more)
1 tsp salt
1 Tbs chopped rosemary
2 Tbs butter
Garlic salt
Italian seasoning

Place yeast, sugar and water in mixing bowl until bubbly or foamy. Mix in 1 T butter, salt, rosemary, and flour. Knead for 10 min (5 min if using machine) until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if necessary. Oil a bowl and raise covered 1 hour or till doubled in size. (I got my oven warm and turned it off and put it in the oven for 30 min.) Punch down dough and divide in half. Let rest 5 min then shape into oval loaves. Let dough rise another 45 min. (again put in warm oven to cut time in half). Bake at 375 for 15- 20 min. Butter the top of loaves with remaining butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and Italian seasoning. Enjoy.

You know, the recipe didn't specify so I use regular flour. I am tempted to use bread flour next time and see what one I like better. The other Tbs of for the top. I sprinkle the top with garlic salt and Italian seasonings.
